Hitting head against a BT branded wall

Right….so last week we got an email from someone at BT saying:

I apologise for the delay and confusion with your BT account.  I can confirm that account number GB….. has been ceased at this was active at your old address and all charges have been removed.

We’ve now has a reminder saying we need to pay £40.44 for the above account! AHHHHHHHHH! I’m still amazed that BT still cant get this organised.

I’ve emailed back asking whats going on, and if BT are going to give any compensation for this.

Bt Complaint - Nothing much…

Well I phone them two Saturdays ago to be told they would get back to me. I heard from them in reply to an email a few days later, and I replied back.
Since then. Nothing.

I have heard a rumour from downstairs its all been sorted, but I’ve heard nothing from BT.

I hope I will one day…

The BT Complaint - The story continues

Well we’ve had an email which starts off by saying the following:

I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you experienced while trying to resolve this matter over the telephone.  This is certainly not the level of service we set out to provide our customers.  Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience you have been caused.

I have checked your old address and can confirm that your line was stopped at your old property on 25.07.08 and there is no order for you to take over this service again.  You only have a contract for service at your new address.

Interesting comments, seeing as I’ve recieved a mad bill for the Shop below us. Its almost as if no one inn BT really knows whats happening. I’ve emailed back requesting them (in the light of the above comment) to explain why I’ve been billed for a totally different phone line as well as my own.

Seeing as I’m getting one decent communication from BT per week, I’m not expecting this to be settled anytime soon.

BT Complaint: An Update

BT ComplaintOh my word. I’ve spent 40 minutes on the phone to BT, 15 minutes of this on hold, 25 minutes* was repeating over and over again, that I do not work for and I have nothing to do with the Shop downstairs.

The best agreement I managed to get was an offer to waive setup charges, but I would still need to pay for phone charges. I have to admit - I did a lil angry at this point. Why do I have to pay for phone calls when I didn’t have a phone line when the phone calls were made?

The result is, “This is being escalated to the Senior Team”, who will call me back.

To say that I’m not overly optimistic about an easy result would be an over statement!

*I may have been saying a little more then that - but not much more!

BT Complaint: It gets worse!

BT CompaintI cant believe this. I have recieved a bill for a telephone number that doesn’t belong to me! The bill has my name on it, but its for the wrong address, and wrong number. A quick google shows the number belonging to the shop below our flat.

I’ve decided not to call today, as it would have taken an age to get though an I’ve got other things to do on a Friday evening.

This is just getting stupid. We should have just got Virgin Media instead of going with BT in the first place!

The thing is. Theres another shop moving in downstairs. I’m waiting for something else to go wrong. If anyone knows any good people in BT who has enough common sense to sort this out please let me know!

The BT Complaint Continues

BT ComplaintAHHHH
After all the crazyness of actually getting our line installed in the new flat, today I’ve had a letter thanking me for my order of a new telephone line…in our old flat!
Well I’ve kicked off to BTs customer service, they’ve said sorry but couldn’t send me any letter confirming what my contracts are. (Not forgetting when I first phoned on my way home I was told I wasn’t the account holder!)
The odd thing is, our phone line has now stopped working again. Nice.
I’ve booked off the line fault, and sent my complaint back in. I’ll let you know how this goes!
